How do I know the profit/loss for a project?

At the top of any project’s Project Details screen you’ll find three stats about the project: Collected Revenue, Total Expenses, and Profit/Loss.

Collected Revenue: This is the total combined amount of all invoice payments you’ve received for the project.

Total Expenses: This is the total amount of expenses recorded for the project.

Profit/Loss: This is the resulting total profit or loss for the project based on the total collected revenue minus the total expenses.

Because you need more than invoicing. You need a plan for success.
